Expanding the vision...
FPC is now First Church Artesia
God in is timing and in his providence has brought to Artesia a new church. A church that is committed to seeing God's kingdom spread across the entirety of the town. A church that rather than focus on denominational distinctives, seeks to emulate the basics of Christian faith as we see them articulated in the book of Acts. Through the principles of the Reformation we are seeking as a church to return to that which guided the First Church.
Where we are headed...
Our first priority as a church is to reach our local community with the gospel. As missionaries to the city of Artesia, we seek to follow Christ's direction of making disciples of the entirety of the city. God's command was to disciple the nations, and we begin with our own local community.
We also seek to serve the community of Artesia. God's command to care for those around us is clear. As the body of Christ we are the means by which God's grace is shared with those who are less fortunate.
Finally, we as a church seek to be a central place for Christian education Starting with a private Christian school, Paideia Christian Academy, and soon to come a seminary education, Knox Theological Seminary.
